Lemon Cupcakes with Chocolate Frosting

Today is my niece's 7th birthday, and every birthday needs a cupcake.

A pretty plate of cupcakes is decoration enough for any party table, as a centrepiece in its own right.

They are quick and easy to make, and today's batch is her favourite: lemon cupcakes with chocolate frosting.

All we need is Love and Cupcakes

She adores sprinkles, so the cakes are showered with love-heart sprinkles and mini Smarties to make them sparkle. As far as she is concerned, the more the merrier.
