Plum Crumble with Custard
Few desserts suit a lazy Sunday better than a comforting crumble. Plum crumble is a family favourite, made with juicy ripe plums beneath a really crunchy topping.

When the old Plum Tree blooms, the entire world blooms
Serve it with creamy custard, and perhaps a spoonful of freshly whipped cream for total indulgence.
Plums come into season in August, and the best of them, for me, grow in my parents' garden. When they are ripe I pick them in abundance for crumbles, jams and tarts.
The finest way to eat them, though, is straight from the tree: mouth-wateringly delicious, full of flavour and grown organically.
