Crackers, Caramelised Onion, Marmalade & Brie
Crackers with caramelised onion marmalade and Brie are the perfect party bite with all manner of drinks: small, delicious and pleasing to the eye.

Historians believe the French borrowed the idea of hors d’oeuvres from the ancient Greeks and Romans, who served a selection of small dishes before the main course.
These hors d’oeuvres need only a handful of ingredients, are full of flavour and are guaranteed to please guests.
The one rule to remember with these, or any canapés, is that the base must be sturdy enough to hold the topping, so that each one is easy to pick up and eat.
Crackers with Caramelised Onion Marmalade & Brie
These are simplicity itself, with no cooking involved. The topping is both sweet and salty, the perfect combination. Another cheese works well if you prefer; Stilton is a good alternative.

- Brie
- Crushed Walnuts
To assemble
- Spoon a teaspoon of onion marmalade on top of the cracker
- Top it with a slice of brie

When ready to serve
Serve hors d’oeuvres on neutral platters wherever possible, so that they really stand out.
They are perfect for relaxed drinks with friends and family, leaving plenty of time to talk, enjoy the occasion and make memories.
