Flower Arranging (Tulips)

A simple arrangement of flowers can change the feeling of a room in an instant. Tulips are among my favourite of the first spring flowers; their wonderful colour palette lifts the mood of the garden in a moment.

These tulips, in their technicolour splendour, echo the greeting card beside them.

Display tulips in a stemmed vase; they always look especially fine on the mantel.

A room always feels more complete with a vase of flowers, or even a single bloom in a glass. Flowers make a room sing, whether bought or cut fresh from the garden, and a few wildflowers picked on a country walk are a particular pleasure to bring home.

If you pick wildflowers, take only a few and leave plenty for our wildlife friends.
